'Sideshow at the Park' is a brand new, grassroots festival intended as a celebration of the local talent Greensboro has to offer. SIDESHOW will feature live music from local (and national) acts, local entertainers, local beer, local art vendors, local food... You get the drift. Doors will open at 2pm, show begins at 3pm. Held at Festival Park (200 N Davie St, 27407), SIDESHOW will be the place to be during the day, and I encourage everyone to go out to all of the other great happenings later that evening and through the weekend. SIDESHOW has been sponsored, in part, by Downtown Greensboro Incorporated and Foothills Brewery. SIDESHOW is also a part of the United Arts Council's 17 Days Program and CFBG's Greensborofest, both of which highlight great art and musical performances in the area. The music will be available for viewing online via justin.tv and the 'livestream' tab on my site. But don't let that be an excuse for you to miss out on all the festivities. Just think of it as a big football game that your friends are watching on television, then they see you for half of a second right before the commercial break. Kinda cool, right? Anywho, tickets are on sale at CFBG Record Store between 1 and 8pm Monday through Saturday. Go pick up a ticket and check out their extensive collection of LPs (you can also purchase tickets online, but why not check out some cool new and used records at the same time?). I'd like to extend an inconceivably large THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to make this possible. That being said, I am still in need of volunteers, a few more art/craft vendors, and a little bit of financial support. If you feel that you have a little extra to give, please do. I will make sure you are well-taken care of at the festival.
Love and peace,
